Known as "Safar al-Khayr" by Prophet ﷺ

Special practices for protection from afflictions

Last Wednesday has particular significance

SAFAR AL-KHAYR

Prophet ﷺ nicknamed it 'Safar al-Khayr' and said, "Who will be the one to give me good tidings of the end of Safar al-Khayr?"

Numerous previous nations perished during this month.

Daily Adab of Safar

  • Shahada (3 times)
  • Astaghfirullah (300 times)
  • Daily sadaqa for the sake of Allah (swt) with the intention of removing afflictions
  • Read Surat al-Fil (7 times)
  • Recite Ayatu 'l-Kursi (7 times)

Adab of Last Wednesday of Safar

  • Blow on yourself and your family after the recitation of Surat al-Fil
  • Avoid going out of one's home between 'Asr and Maghrib

Mawlana Shaykh Nazim (ق) said: "On the last Wednesday of Safar seventy thousand afflictions come down, so whoever keeps the adab that we mentioned Allah (swt) will protect him."

Qurban

It is recommended to sacrifice qurban on the last Wednesday for the sake of Allah (swt).
